Our Goal

Act as an excellent resource towards better self-esteem and confidence. Help teach students the importance of sharing their insight, thoughts and views with others. Improve a student's critical thinking and communication skills, and help with personal development through the analysis of communication habits.

We teach students the power that public speaking and communication have to influence and bring about positive change, developing their voice as a tool of persuasion and speech personality, and learning to use eye contact and body language properly to engage and impact their audience. Learn to improve their vocal tone and diction in order to master the art of public speaking, build rapport with their audience, learn to adequately plan, build and deliver their speeches, and lose the fear and anxiety associated with public speaking through relaxation exercises and the building of confidence and teach students how to overcome fears.

  • Listening to Understand: students need to be taught to listen in order to understand and respond appropriately in a variety of situations for a variety of purposes – why do certain talks have different tones and body expressions for example. 
     
  • Speaking to Communicate: teach students to use various speaking skills and strategies appropriately to communicate with different audiences for a variety of purposes. 
     
  • Reflecting on Skills and Strategies: students will reflect on and identify their strengths as listeners and speakers, areas for improvement, and the strategies they found most helpful in oral communication situations.
     
  • Public speaking will be combined with an academic environment where students will learn to deliver short speeches, book reports, a class presentation, and other contexts that they would be asked to do in school. They can practice with friends and on their own. They will be given the tools to inspire, educate and entertain in a fun-filled activity-based environment.

Hello, my name is Bobby. I started basic theory last year, and the class only took about 3 months. At the last class, we got a chance to do an exam. I got a 95%! I did really well in this class. But then I got to know everyone else's mark, they were in the 90s as well!
